Note that many counties have a website where property owners (and their mailing addresses) can be found. It may take some searching, but there is usually something there somewhere. I know that you can find out quite a bit about me on the local website, once you identify my property on the plat map. _________________ --

I'm there! Looks like I am the only person in Region 7. That is a large expanse, too. (Maybe I need to use a different deodorant?) _________________ [

I have moved from western Massachusetts to the extreme southern point of Nevada (Laughlin) then East across the Colorado river to Arizona (Bullhead City). Is there someone that has administrator access to the KiteBuilders map on ZeeMaps?
I wanted to remove my locator in MA, I have added myself in AZ. _________________ Larry

BUMP
Hey Bob, How about adding the site you set the altitude record at?
People can then see how far you go to test/try/accomplish your goals. _________________ Cheers

You can see a map of the kite record location on the above web site.
I have a KLM file embedded in Google Earth which shows a 3D satellite view of the kite's track. This is derived from the GPS telemetry data and converted to a Google Earth compatible file. It can be seen on the web page titled 2014 Sept. For those who are interested, to view on Google Earth, search for Cobar then measure approximately 38 km northwest of Cobar along the Mulya (Louth) road. In earth view you will see an air strip denoted by a jet icon. This is the disused air field we have been using annually 2004 - 2014 to fly from. Unfortunately, the property changed hands, has been split up and is unavailable for kite flying. I am currently searching for a suitable venue within a 50 km radius. Hopefully we can do some "low altitude" testing then break the train record in a couple of years. I have a KLM file of the 2014 flight to embed in your copy of Goggle Earth. I can send the file via PM or email. If anyone is interested in tracking the world record attempts I will be adding future flights to Goggle Earth as KLM track files. _________________ BOB MOORE |
