OPAQUE
PROJECTOR & ACCESSORIES: -
Low cost way to re-size designs, photos, drawings, art |
|
CALIPERS
- Not sure about the size spar you have or need? Our
six inch METAL caliper is the solution... |
|
SCISSORS
- Always keep a good
sharp pair of scissors at your side. We carry an all
round super thread and fabric scissor as well as the #1
appliqué scissor recommended by Master Kitebuilder, Jose
Sainz... and me :) |
|
SEAM RIPPERS
- Used to rip a
botched seam. Also, by some, the preferred tool for
relief cutting appliqué. |
|
SPAR SAWS,
ELECTRIC & HAND
- The best way to
cut fiberglass and graphite is by using a saw designed
for the purpose. We stock two easy to use models. Always
use a protective mask. |
|
HOT KNIVES,
CUTTERS, & BLADES
- Using the hot
cutter will prevent Ripstop from fraying by sealing the
fabric as you cut. In kite building it also comes in
handy because the hot cut will "weld" pieces of
Ripstop together and prevent them from moving while
sewing. |
|
HOT TACKERS - A hot
knife with a "spring tip". The spring remains
cool and holds the fabric while the hot tip temporarily
fuses the material together. |
|
TUBING CUTTER - Makes a clean,
fast, safe, and square cut on plastic tubing. |
|
BRUSHES
- The most common
cause for glue failure is forgetting to clean the inside
of a spar or ferrel before applying glue... Use these! |
|
TONY STICKS
This polished
aluminum bar makes a great straight edge and is the
perfect tool for adding seam allowances. |
|
