Preparing Wing Tips

1. Cut out wing tip parts using templates. Make 4 pieces. (Remember shiny/dull surfaces) Make 2 shiny up and 2 shiny down.

Hint: Apply insignia material to 1^st side –

trim to wing shape.

Apply 2^nd insignia material to other

side, trim again.

Put insignia cloth re-enforcements on wing tip points (On both surfaces, back to back).

3. Apply edging material (black 1.5 oz.) to all edges. Edging will go over insignia cloth.

NOTE: Edging strips have color marking (ID) on one end.

RED color strip is for inside edge – 27”.

BLUE color strip is for both remaining edges – 32”.

Kit contains required amount.

NOTE: Do not use wrong colors.

4. Aluminum eyelet to be inserted in each tip. The exact location is

determined by edging and insignia re-enforcement position. Install

eyelets on each corner. (Gauge by eye is fine – not a critical step).

HINT: Burn/melt a snug hole for your eyelet.

¼“ eyelet is preferred.
