An award given out at the discretion of the judges.  This year we decided to give out two awards to two gentleman that capture the "spirit of competition".  They both love building kites and are always out on the kite field having fun.  They are full of enthusiasm and always looking forward to feedback for improvement in design.  They both entered four kites into competition and I believe were thrilled to just be competing - win or loose.  However, in my eye, Mike and Gary, are both winners.
