Anyone have a source for 2.0 ounce (or thereabouts) Dacron? I want to use this for the trailing edges of stunt kites and potentially other kites in place of binding tape. I might also use it for the leading edge pocket and areas requireing reinforcing.

I posted this question before, and it was one of the posts that was deleted. If you had something interesting posted before, please re-submit it.

Thanks.

Hi Marty, I dont have anything that is "officially" 2 oz, but I do have some gold colored 2" dacron that is less than 3.9. I just dont kno the actual weight - it has been around here for a long time. I also have some slit nylon that is laminated on one side with mylar... it is probably less than 3.9 as well but again , I dont know the official weight. I can send samples of both if you wish...

If you can use Ripstop nylon, we have the 1.5 ounce that is already slit to 1 or 2 inch.... it is probably close to 2 oz when you consider the finshed weight.
