As I have said before, I like to recycle or modify uses of things for making kites.

Here is a sewing machine extension table made from a sink cutout from a counter top. I got two of these at a garage sale for a $1.

Oh, and notice the stick near the presser foot. That is a pointed, bamboo, barbeque skewer. Great for those times your fingers are just to big to arrange the fabric under the presser foot.

And here is a photo of my $5.00 garage sale Pfaff with a catchall to keep those bits and pieces rounded up. It is a flying disk "Frisbee?" that I stole from the grandkids. Also notice that the bobbin cover was missing so I made a replacement out of R/C plywood. Tape hinges hold it in place. Works for me.

And does anybody know why there are two cigarette lighters there when this is a non smoking household? Confused

Look close, real close, at the backside of the presser foot. See the walking foot attachment? These things are necessary for me. You have to work to find the right kind, though.

My newer Pfaff has a built in walking foot. And low bobbin indicator, needle down option, duel speed, etc. that make it much easier to use. ( tiny bit of gloating here.) Twisted Evil

I've started to use one of those walking foot attachements. I'm getting used to it now and I think it really does help.

Yes, I do that on wrist straps, too.

But, I usually use them to melt the loose ends of threads when sewing. Takes to long to tie them when you have big, fumble fingers like mine. Cool
