At the 10th Annual South Jersey Kite Flyers Anniversary Party and Fly in October in Wildwood Crest NJ we were informed that the Rio Motel along with six other motels are slated to be demolished to make room for multi-story condos. In past years the Rio Motel has been the headquarters hotel for the Wildwood International Kite Festival and the East Coast Sport Kite Competition. A more detailed article concerning this will be in the November/December issue of WindWriters, the newsletter of South Jersey Kite Flyers.
