Thanks for the comments. I agree about the captions. I keep meaning to get around to it. However the longer I leave it the worse the memory gets. I've often wondered whether there should be a site or section on a/this forum where people can post such questions. I'm sure there is someone out there who would know.

I'm afraid I didn't get to see the kite in question close up. It was flown on the Sunday when there was virtually no wind. This meant that the fliers couldn't keep any of the kites up for longer than a run across the arena. Hats off to them in blistering heat. They were therefore asked to fly them a few at a time to keep the spectacle going for longer. The Italians, who owned this particular one, only ran across with it once as they'd brought so many others. I kept myself busy with finger on camera and didn't follow up afterwards.

In previous years at Bristol they've had a public vote for the "best" or favourite kite. This would have been in my top ten this time round.
