|
|
2008 was a wonderful year for kitebuilding... many new designs, beautuful graphics, and impressive flights were reported throughout the year. I know it was difficult to pick out nominations for the best, but I am going to ask you to make an even more difficult decision. Which one of the following sixteen is the top kite? It is time to cast your vote for the 2008 KITE of the YEAR!
If you would like to review why each kite was nominated, CLICK HERE
2008 Kite of the Year Nominees:

To cast your vote, send and EMAIL to:
kiteoftheyear@kitebuilder.com
In the body of the email, please include your screen name and the number of the picture that you wish to vote for. Please feel free to include any additional comments about why you are voting for a particular kite. Only ONE vote per forum member!
Remember, you are voting for your favorite KITE, not the builder. How you determine the "best" is up to you - it can be a kite with appealing graphics/colors, or a simple kite that represents determination and effort.
Voting will end on February 1, 2009.
Remember to also vote for KiteBUILDER of the Year! _________________

This is really tough! So many good choices. Where in the rules does it say you can only vote once? _________________ Don't annoy the crocodile before you cross the river. |

So, ethically speaking, it would be wrong to create several new forum identities so that I can vote for all my favorites.... |

If you voted once for all 16 kites, it would be a wash, but still not ethically sound. _________________ VR/

How long do I have before I must decide and vote? In other words, how much pressure is there yet?
I'm having trouble even cutting the field in half to narrow it down.
(not really, I'm just being melodramatic. ) _________________ Simon

Wow!, Thanks Kiteguy for the nomination. I'm honored.
I just got home from a LONG assignment in Houston and was gone almost all of December and missed all of the fun.
I agree there are a lot of good kites here. Definitely hard choices. |

okay guys, I made a big mistake and owe an apology/
Fevzi's Ohki was nominated and I missed it in the download. I owe an apology to Fevzi (thank you smarties for catching it).
There is another kite for you to consider for Kite of the Year:
Fevzi's Ohki #17:
If anyone would like to change their vote, please email me with your revision. _________________
