ok Git a question I have a Kenmore Machine that takes a style 66 bobbin normal angle bobbin......

here is my question...is there a right and wrong way to put the bobbin?

does it matter if the thread is wound clockwise or counter-clockwise?

never paid attention before but this one bobbin of thread has been giving me fits.....

your input please....

Dennis

The kenmore book I read showed the bobbin wound so that as you put it into the bobbin case and pulled the thread through the tensioning clip you were pulling in the direction the bobbin was wound .

So looking at the bobbin case , open side , the thread was wound counterclock wise . (ANTI CLOCKWISE )

On my Simplicity machine, looking into the bobbin cage, the bobbin is wound clockwise, then the thread goes the opposite (ccw) direction to go thru the tensioner slot in the cage.

Thanks

I think I figured it out.....(I HOPE)

but one thing i did learn is to run a longer test strip instead of just doing a few stiches I now run about a foot or so...if the bobbin thread breaks then I just flip it around and try it again....
