That is a pretty cool rock. They have a neat laser show on the one side where the carving is. I even still have my 'I climbed Stone Mountain' badge

I use Nylon thread in size A. It looks good and has a little streatch. I am also looking for ways to earn that last star..... 
You MUST use uncoated thread as the epoxy has to soak in to make it strong.
Kevlar should work, but you have to like that yellow color.
Use what you have on hand, I do.....

My tackle shop has Kevlar thread in many colors. Good luck on becoming a four-star Kitesquid!
