Stan -

Do you have any (or know of any online) plans of a fighter that uses flat Carbon? Or if it's just an alternative to a bamboo spine, do you have anything that determines where the 'multipoints' should be connected?

Can you tell a fighter junkie when you see one Question

Thanks.

I have been studying Steve Bateman's fighters whenever he stands still.
No plans are available for his kites, but he teaches workshops here. I'll talk to him next time I run into him about making plans available.
The spines are flat Carbon, drilled with three to five equally spaced holes to attach a cascaded bridle that shares two conventional bow points. The bow is 060 rod and 020-030 TE battens keep the sail very flat and fast.
The bridle legs are connected with sliding loops that allow for self-equalization. He adjusts the spine bend with a line and bead adjuster.
The result is a fast, nimble silent kite that Steve wins competions with.
