Hi all.
Being new to kite building, I'm still tyring to find all the various materals I need to build my first kite. A NPW9b. I have one remaining question though and that's on Dacron line.
Is the Dacron braided white line as sold in the catalog here at kitebuilder.com suitable for makeing knotless loops? You know the kind of loop where you use a fid to pull the end of the line back down into and through the line. I'm spedifically looking at the 50 and 80 lb line. But, I don't want to to go and buy it just to find out it can't make knotless loops. I don't want to have to sew the line together to make knotless loops. I hope it is suitable cause then I can finally place my order for materals and start building. Laughing

Thank you.

Woo-hoo. I got an answer. Steve Ferrel emailed me and said:
"Yes our standard Dacron should work well for you... it is indeed a hollow
braid and used by many for bridles. The only Dacron line we carry that is
not hollow is our Black Death...."
Awesome.

Plus, Kiteman (Tom White) who built the 'Vulture' NPW9b calculator said he does his shopping at Kitebuilder as well and the line works great. That is great re-assureance for a new builder such as myself.

Idea Steve,

I know you are a BUSSY man, but you might want to add that detail to the discription of the line you sell...

Just a thought...
