Where do you shop for those elusive notions that Steve does not carry?
I keep a Clotilde Catalog handy:
http://www.clotilde.com/
Also one from Nacny's Notions:
http://www.nancysnotions.com/
But I try to buy at these local stores:
JoAnne's Fabrics and Crafts (if you sign up for their flyer it usualy contains a cupon for 50% off a single item, that I use to buy bigger ticket items i.e. scissors, or cutting mats, but they are not good for sewing machines or irons)
Wall Mart (usualy the best prices, but limited selection)
Hancock Fabrics
G Street Fabrics (they have everything on the shelf but are quite a few miles out of my way)
And a mom and pop store in Harrisonburg VA that sells to a LOT of stuff to the local Mennonite women, called the Clothsline. Great prices and good slection. They even have Synthapol on the shelf... if you know what that is.
So, what about you?????? _________________ VR/

Well, alrighty then!
All of the above, and don't forget Michael's (crafts) and A.C. Moore.
Oh, and we have a local chain called Fabric Place that usually has what I am looking for in places where I can find it.
There, I went and did it. Now Squid can sleep tonight.  _________________ good heavens;

I go to Fabricland. It's about a 5 minute drive from my house. The 15 dollar a year membership gives you an automatic 10% discount on everything, and other discounts on pretty much everything else. Buy 1, get another 2 free spools of thread. 40 or 50 % off many fabrics.
It's a good place.

We shop at Fabricville which, I think, is associated with Fabricland. A yearly membership for their Elite Club is $15 for seniors and guarantees an automatic 20% off regular prices. The same 3 for 1 sales are also available.
A new shop opened here this fall called Atlantic Fabrics and it is similar to Joannes in the USA with more craft supplies etc available. This one is a chain store too but as far as I know only in the Maritimes.
We have 2 Walmarts as well, one very new and pretty well supplied in craft supplies and of course Home Depot & Canadian Tire when all else fails. _________________ Bernie
