I always use a threader!
click on the image to jump to the catalog.
The line goes through the bead just like the picture:

Threaders are the way to go. I made one of my own, and it worked, sort of. Got some from Steve, and never looked back. _________________

Threaders?
Go to Walmart, in the sporting goods department they carry (3) 12-inch long, 25# steel leader lines with swivels for about $2. Cut the swivels off both ends of one and you have a small diameter threader that will take all the beating you can give it. If it ever wear it out, use one of the 2 others you already have in the little package.
Oh, Mike, thanks for the "X-ray" photo. I never did understand how the lines were supposed to go thru one of those things. _________________ "The wind is the perfect reminder of God.

You can also get dental floss threaders which look exactly like the threaders Steve sells, at least from the pics. Something like BridgeAid Floss Threader:
Hope I am not giving out your secret Steve!

HI and thanks for the replies. I'm now using an old guitar string.

Look about 5 messages above for the "x-ray" view of the bead. _________________

I don't see a thing. I see the post, but not the 'x-ray'. |
