I finally got my kite building stuff relocated to a new table in 'My Room' in the basement. Combine that with getting a new digital camera (sorry, its not a high-res camera but it is waterproof to 5 feet - important for me) to play with for my birthday and I figured it'd be nice to post a few pics. smoke

First...my kite table....

Next...an almost-finished Crazy Eddy sail to be shaped, hemmed and sent to Progcraft soon...

Oh yeah, see that container full of scraps beneath the table...Prog gets some of those too.....

You haven't seen the rest of the room!!!! Embarassed

BTW Kiteguy: See that box to the right of the table with the dartboard on it - there's a fighter kite in there that needs to go to a newbie fighter kiter. If you ID someone before I do let me know so I can pass it along....

Nice work space!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have a nice distracting view out the window???

I have some windows in the KiteCavren, but I cant see anything but sky as they are small and at the top of the basement wall.

Yes and no....

Through the windows I can see our back yard and the woods beyond the grass. But...it faces west so the sun is blinding in the late afternoon. Also, my ridling lawn mower sits directly in front of the window covered by a tarp. Also my canoe an kayak sit just beyond the lawnmower. The canoe and kayak are particularly distracting because they make me want to be out on a lake, pond or river somewhere fishing....

I recently finished my 'activity' room [kite/fly-tying/computer] also. We all have our distractions, you and I have similar interest, though. I do throw bigger flies in the salt, my canoe is sitting in the shop kinda being re-built, and I'm looking for a new road bike. Such is life.
Your little poppers look interesting, sometimes them stripers only want a tiny bait-hmmm.

Hi Snoopy,

I was wondering who was pinging my website linking from Kitebuilder! Thanks for the interest. I may pick your brain about striper poppers. I'm going to add some saltwater stuff later in the year but still need to talk to a bunch of folks and do some research and see what works, what doesn't and what grabs people's interest...BTW, saw some really neat stuff being tied for stripers (and other salty fishes) at the Atlanta Fly Fishing Festival this past weekend. I'm going to put up a summary of some of the cool things I saw on my website later this week. Should have it up by Friday....(I hope)
