G'day.
So, I couldn't be happier Smile

A fella in High River (little town about 1/2 hour south) just got in touch with me through the Pincher Creek festival committe. It turns out that they're putting on a Kite Festival in May!!!! Smile

Who's happy? I'm happy!! Smile

Flying, demos, and even building contests!!! Smile

However, due to my 'experience' (ha!!), I think they would like it if I were a judge and a demonstrator. Which of course is just fine by me Smile

They have lots of stuff in the works. Morning workshops, contests, demo flying, kids races, carnival games, and a Fire Dept Challenge (with hose lines pushing a square ball across the opponent's goal line).
Fun fun fun!!

Way to go Prog! You being recognized as THE kite expert in you area. Soon you'll see more kite builders/flyers coming out in the field over there. New friends, new kite friends ... Wink
