I have several long straight edges that I hange to store them. It seemed as if I always needed the one at the bottom of the stack. I used a simple two coat hanger to store them so I can reduce, at least a little, the number of pieces I need to move to get to the one I need. The front hook usually has a small quilters ruler, large quilters ruler and a drafting t-square. The back hook usually has four foot, five foot and metric rulers. In the top picture you can see an aliminum straight edge and several wooden yard sticks stored on a nail, ( moved out of the way for the bottom picture.) Any one else have workshop hints/tricks/ideas to make you kite building process easier. Share them with the rest of us Very Happy

You see the nail along side of the coat hook ?? thats what my wall is all about. All my nails are empty , the straight edge bars are leaning against ,walls tables , chairs ,you name it. Constantly walking by and kicking one to the floor. In my next life I will be organized. I think.

I don't have a workshop I have an "everything" room.

I try to keep things somewhat organized. I use a deep tub to keep talll things in, containers with compartments for small thing and some of those stackable drawers (in various sizes) for everything in-between.

Cliff, your shop sounds like my woodworking shop at the moment. Goodness, I can hardly move in there now. Mountains of planer shavings. One of these days I'll slow down and clean it all up and get organized again...yes...kitesquid, organized. Confused

Imagin,

What are you building that you are creating wood shavings?
