Howdy everyone. Answers to previous questions concerning ironing Ripstop ranged from doing so with low heat, wrapping the frameless kite tightly around a pole, to simply flying the wrinkles out. I'm wondering if you could iron the nylon with low to mild heat, with the nylon placed under a moist towel??? The moisture will prevent scorching and adsorb excess heat. Has anyone tried this method? If not, I will wrinkle up several scraps and let you know how it worked out. Thanks in advance to your responses. DuPont[/img]

DuPont -
As long as the towel is relatively thin (like the towels at most hotels) it will work as well as most of the other methods you've been told - and better than some of them. Smile

I just use a low silk setting to start with. If it doesn't work, turn it up a little. keep going up till you see the results you want. The fabric should not get overly hot or begin any discoloration. If so, your too hot.
