A short photo report from the Fanø kite festival in Denmark held in June 16-19 2022.

Everything is packed and ready for departure.

The journey is 350 km long. From Helsingborg in Sweden to Fanø in Denmark.

First the ferry from Sweden to Denmark.

Next is the long bridge over "Storebælt".

Finally the ferry from Esbjerg to Fanø. The name Fenja comes from Nordic mythology.

After five hours behind the wheel, it's time for some refreshments. Made in Denmark of course.

The next day it's time to join the festival. The pictures speaks for themselves.

This is my 6 square meter Pilot and my two bees. The red bee is called Birger and the yellow bee is

Rømø kite festival 2022

The coming weekend, Sep 2-4 2022, the Rømø kite festival will take place.
It’s probably* the world's second largest kite festival.
The island of Rømø is located on the Danish west coast, just a few miles south of Fanø.

Lots of participants, lots of kites, lots of cars and lots of spectators.

I need to check the forum more often! I totally missed you posting on Fano 2022 Floppyjoe. It was a great year! Even had a chance to swing by Metropolis Drachen, on Romo.
