Synthrapol is a detergant that fabric manufactures use to get all the oils, exess dyes and dirt out of fabric. It is a wonderfull product and I use it to remove exess adhesive the easy way, in the washing machine....

i put in about 3 caps full along with some citric acid, or Goo Gone and wash the sail.....

Easyer than doing it by hand.

I buy Synthropol when I buy dyes... You may find it a a good quilting shop or at a dealer of fabric dyes.

If you cant find it look at Dharma Traiding here in the US or G&S Dye in Canada.

Well, I went shopping today. But I didn't find too much. After three hardware stores, a fabric store, and a crafts store, I only aquired one more glue to try. Krylon Easy-Tack. I couldn't even find 3m number 75 glue Crying or Very sad
I found 4 spray glues at the fabric store (Fabricland) and 3 of them would have been good candidates for this test. BUT, I did not buy them. Way, way too expensive. 20 bucks per can, and the cans were half the size of the other spray glues. They would just NOT be cost effective.
I also still have not found Becetene, but the hobby/art store was closed. I did get some acetone though.
When I asked (at Fabricland and Michaels) about 'Sulky' glue, I just got deer-in-headlight looks

Testing continues. I get to try out my new, el-cheapo light table Smile 3 bucks total cost!!! And less then two minutes of work!!

Whew
35 kites appliqued with 5 glues. Much work done. Just a couple, final tests and to write it all up into a coherent, human-readable string. Of words that is. Smile

Cheers,
P.
