Not as elegant as the others here. But...it flies anyway.
I have used plastic, tape, cable ties and spars from a tent, umbrellas and children's bicycles warning flag.
And some other junk I had at home.

They just crashed to the ground. We didn't know how to make kites.
Now, I'm retired and I'm taking revenge.
