I saw the neatest cut-off saw at Main Frame Kite shop, where the proprieter got it frm Harbor Freight for only $20. Look up Harbor Freight.com and search for "cut off saws". It looks like a large metal cut-off saw but only has a two inch diameter saw blade. Hope this helps.

Is a "Cut Off Saw" the same thing as a "Chop Saw" (e.g. what you call a sledgehammer, I call a maul)?

That habor frieght chop saw works even better with fiber based rods if you get some of the abrasive discs for it then it is closer to the arrow shaft cutter.
The abrasive discs are available from Micro Mark tools they specialize in model trains and such. Here is the link:
http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares.asp?MerchantID=RET01229&Action=Catalog&Type=Product&ID=15219
Micro mark carries the german saw that the harbor frieght version is a knock off of for a mere $140.
I have also heard that Grainger has abrasive wheels that fit this saw, but I have not verified this. _________________ Robkite
