I was at the indoor event and must say that Mike was completly unflappable. As he said, one stuck to the ceiling, one broke, and he finished his routine with his third kite AND he was smiling the whole time . . . it was one of the highlights of the competition.

Crashes? THOSE weren't crashes! Those were...carefully planned but highly unusual ways to park my kites so I wouldn't step on them. (Yeah, that's it...a tightly choreographed routined.)

HERE is the web page of Masami Takakuwa with some great photos of the convention. The "kite field" slide show has some great coverage of the kite making competition. There is even a photo of a giant delta in the "party" section that looks somewhat familiar Wink
