i was wondering if parachute material could be used to make a good trction kite, i guess this thred kinda answers my question (as you are making a kite of somekind), as for leads on parachutes i found a few but they where priced at $135 each wondering if that is a good price or not?

Hi Ciao, Dont jump with the parachute material yet . The 135.00 bucks sounds high . There are some guys on this forum who have come across that kind of fabric much cheaper. They will also guide you with kite types and how to get the right fabric you need and where to find it for cheap . Stay tuned here and see the response-- Right guy's?

I think chute fabric would be ok for a traction kite.
I wasn't going to use either the balloon or chute fabric for kites. Just spikey balls and other grond display pieces.
alas, I have stopped my quest for ballon and/or chute material for now. I'm in the process of trying to aquire another fabric.
