Might as well put in a word for my wife's class. She will be teaching silk painting techniques. In the end you will have a painted/dyed silk scarf, which can be made into a kite if you so desire. If you liked our recent samurai face with dragon kite, then this is your chance to learn the same technique.
Kiteguy, this is the closest you'll get to "borrowing" my wife.

I wanted to show some of the scarves produced in Diane's class at Ft Worden's this last year, to let you know what type of final product comes out of the class. She has lots of designs or you can bring your own and she will help you figure out how to do what you want.
