yep the Clothesline, now Patchwork Plus
I really don't want to be the one that screws up the class for other people.
The lady said that they had to quit letting people bring in their own machines for class, because it took so much time to get everyones machine to work like it was supposed to just to be able to do the class work

LOL!!! Welcome to the world of kite making workshops!!!
I was once asked by a very capable kite builder who had led his frist couple of workshops: "Do they ever show up with sewing machines that work?" I assured him there was always at least one, maybe two, that had no chance of working, even under Maggie's expertise.
When Maggie and I lead local workshops, we always try to bring a spare machine or two. We encourage local attendees, if they can, to do the same, that way everyone is covered.

Now THAT is a GREAT idea!!!!!
Spare sewing machines.
I was given a metal body Kenmore machine but I have not tried to sew on it but if it was in tune I would bring it to North Carolina...
BTW the last MKS workshop I broght my industrial machine and let a newbee sew on my Bernina 130 that I normaly use...
FUN!!!!! for me at least..

well good and bad news
it cost me $33 including a pack of needles and 3 bobbins
He oiled and cleaned and said the timeing was fine
my zig zag will not go as wide as it should. I elected not have him figure out why. I didn't get the impression that he was in the mood to figure it out.
So at some point I will have to find a better tech.

Now how do you plan on keeping the sawdust out of your machine 
I ask this because Randy runs a custom cabinet company and he stores his machine at the shop....
