Can anyone help me with a source for silver Mylar? My requirements are that it must come from a roll (with no folds), be at least 12" wide and be 1/2 mil or thinner, I really would like 1/4 mil or thinner if I can get it.

I'm using this for streamers for competition rockets and have a feeling someone making ultralight kites or fighters may know of a source.

Have you looked at Orcon Coperation's Orco film?

It is scrim reinforecd and is used by a lot of North American Fighter Kite builders.

I use metallic Mylar film for fighters.
A nice fellow in Indiana sent me some fine rolls of metallic Mylar that he got at a dollar store. Card shops, craft stores and florist suppliers sometimes have it, and a trip through the yellow pages may pay off.
The only Orcon I've seen has been black or white. Even those can be hard to find.

Russ,

if you want the really thin stuff, contact Charlie Sotich the king of small kites.

He has some stuff that is so thin it scares me....
