What about the times when you need to leave your kite and lines so you can go adjust a "kite anchor"?
There's a newbie named Sherman I met here in Phoenix, and he asked about sleeving, so I found this old post and sent it to him.
But then I noticed that this 'question' never got answered. Not that it really needed to...
I used to leave my kites (with lines attached) on the field just by making them lay nose-forward-belly-down. But in order to relaunch, I needed to turn the kite over. I've found that if I perform a manoeuvre (I don't know it's real name) I don't have to do "the walk" anymore. It's like a ground yo-yo.
With the kite standing on it's tips, allow it to fall forwards - tug to flip it on it's back (like a FlapJack) - but don't do the Lazy Susan portion of the FlapJack - just let it over-rotate so the nose points forward and it's on it's belly. Drop the lines and walk away.
The lines are now over the back of the kite and under the TE.
When you want to fly it, just pull the lines and stand the kite up on it's nose - then onto it's back - then onto it's tips. _________________ Spence
