Bought a Weller P2KC butane soldering iron a while back. I love the fact that it's cordless and the heat is variable. The self ignitor works first try every time and it heats up quickly.

There are various tips available.

I've recently cut some webbing with the Hot Knife tip and I was very pleased with the results.

I haven't cut out a kite with it yet, but I did a few test cuts on some Ripstop nylon scraps and it looked good.

Rich
I have Weller very similar and I really like it . It's cut LOTS of fabric. Iv'e just about worn out the Hot Knife tip. Glad to see others are avalable. The place I bought it said they could only get them in packs of 5. Well have fun ,cut out lots of kites.
