Each year we attend the Maryland Kite Society's winter kitebuilding retreat. Kite Studio often hosts the roundtable discussion where we talk about kite building problems and try to brainstorm solutions. The MKS Fitting was the answer to one of the problems.
There are many ways to use this fitting. Essentially, one hole is for the spar and the other hole is for a string. The string is fixed to the kite and the screw on the fitting allows you to pull the string tight, then turn the screw down to lock it into position. This is an quick and easy way to adjust the tension on your sail.
This MKS fitting has an outside diameter of .625"
We make this fitting for every size spar, so for now, we ask that you call your order into our office. You can reach us at either 610-395-3560 or 800-KITE-991 (USA only)
