This is the hardware kit for the #54 Star Facet kite that is being presented as an on-line workshop in the kitebuilder forum.
Instruction for the #54 Star Facet will be presented by Scott E. Spencer and Gary Engval. The project is scheduled to begin in June.
Scott’s design modifications and refinements of S.J. Robinson’s Muti-Faceted Kite have earned him many awards at regional and national competitions. For more than two decades, Scott has explored various shapes and sizes of the facet kite and his knowlege of it's design is extensive. His approach to it's construction provides a tightness of the skin that is unsurpassed. Gary Engval has even nicknamed Scott “The Biggest Flake” -- which he can be at times, but it is a students way of complimenting his mentor.
Our co-presenter, Gary Engval is a well know kiteflyer and builder as well. He has judged many regional and national kite making competitions and has traveled all over the world, sharing his knowledge and always providing new ideas to kitebuilders of all levels. I am pleased to see Scott and Gary teaming up to teach this class. I am sure you will all be in for an educational and entertaining five weeks! The class is free, but you MUST register in advance.
