NYKE (New York Kite Enthusiasts) is proud to announce it's second Kite Builders Challenge. What is that? NYKE is offering an open challenge to kite builders everywhere, to build the best kite you can build and bring it to the Sullivan County Kite Festival, in Loch Sheldrake, NY, on May 7, 2005 where it will be judged by a panel of top kite builders. The catch is that the kite must be built from this kit. The contents of the kit will not be reveled to contestant until they receive it in the mail. Be assured that there is ample supplies to build many designs. The winner of the challenge will receive a $100 gift certificate to Kite Studio, second place a $50 gift certificate and third $25.
The cost of the kite is $35, plus shipping & handling. The cost of the kit serves as your registration fee.

Some details on rules:
- Completed kites will be judged as per A.K.A kite building contest rules.
- All kites MUST fly to be considered for entry.
- Only kites built from the parts kit obtained from Kite Studio will be considered for entry.
- Parts from the kit MAY be omitted from the final kite.
- The only items that may be added to the kit are: additional fabric for applique of designs, thread, bridle, tensioning and flying lines.
- Kites will only be judged on May 7 at the Sullivan County Kite Festival, in Loch Sheldrake, NY
- Kites may be entered via proxy.
- Novice / Experienced builder designations are only for the purpose of special awards.
