This category includes those kites whose surface has been altered by the application of paint, dye, paper, or other material to enhance the visual appeal of the kite. The sail material can be paper, fabric, tyvek, mylar, plastic or other. Kites made totally of fabric without painting or other surface enhancement do not belong in this category.
