Here is it, Kite Studio's version
of a kite builders work shop in a box. Actually this will be in
several boxes. 1533 items with a retail value over $2,000.00! I
have a little bit of everything you need to get started. Two kite
building books that cover single line kites from beginner to
advanced, fighter kites, and stunt kites - both dual and quad
line. I've included an opaque projector and floor stand for you
applique aficinados. With this tool you can easily enlarge your
graphics in full color. Some of the plans in the books are in
metric - don't convert them to inches - I'm throwing in a meter
stick to make your job easier.
I'll give you a caliper so you can measure the diameters of the
enormous selection of spars you'll be getting - 160 sticks. Micro
solid graphite for the fighter kite builders. Tapered graphite
for the sport kite builders. Plus hollow graphite, hollow
fiberglass, and solid fiberglass for all round great kite
building. You ask, "Great, but how do I cut these spars to
fit the kites I'll be making?" Well, I have the dream
tool... and electric spar saw that is the best in the industry.
And speaking of dreams, wait till you try the Professional Engel
Hot Knife - a kite builders dream come true. I attend many kite
building seminars accross the country and I hand this tool out
for everybody to try. I always come home with several sold.
And what will you cut with this new hot knife? Well, I will send
you a FIFTY YARD assortment of ripstop nylon and polyester; PLUS
a NINETY YARD assortment of webbings, dacrons, edge bindings, and
slit nylons that will all need trimming to fit perfectly into
your kite creations.
There is a selection of 322 fittings to connect spars together in
a combination of ways - leading edges, whiskers, dihedrals,
ferrels, end caps, and nocks. I even through in a bottle of super
glue to bond the parts together. And if your in a hurry, a bottle
of accelerator to instantly cure the adhesive.
Also included is a large 72 yard roll of double face tape to help
hold fabric seams together, and two 1/4 pound cones of thread to
sew them together! You'll get my favorite, high quality applique
scissor - the Wiss # 715. This is also the scissor that Master
Kite Builder, Jose Sainz reccomends in all his kite building
classes.
When you get all these kites built, youll need something to fly
them. I didnt forget - you'll also recieve 2,500 feet of Dacron
line in assorted strengths plus for your sport kites, 800 feet of
high quality, slippery Spectra. Hoops and card winders also be in
the box so you can wrap up your lines at the end of the day.
